CALL FOR PAPER

Submission Guidelines

Following Abstract Submission: After submitting your abstract, all authors are required to register for the conference and pay the associated fee in a timely manner. Failure to register will disqualify your submission from the call for papers and prevent publication. Each registered author is entitled to submit a maximum of two abstracts.

Abstract text

Written in English.
Text should not exceed 300 words.
Build the abstract into a single paragraph, with no indentation and no blank line between paragraphs.
Figures, graphs, images, tables, diagrams and references should not be included.

Abstracts should clearly state (proportionate)

Background and objectives: The rationale or hypothesis followed by objectives.
Methods: Briefly discuss the design of the study/ program and how it was conducted.
Results: Present the main results/ data analysis and pertinent discussion.
Conclusions: Limit the conclusions to those that are directly supported by the results.
Do not use these headings in the text.

Title

Title should be concise and informative.

Authors

Name(s): Please fill in the names of all authors (First and Last names), with the presenting author’s name to be underlined.
Corresponding author: Must have an (*) following the reference number and an email address.
Contact details: Department, institution, city, postcode, state if relevant, country, email address must be provided at least for the first author.

Nomenclature and Units

Use the international system of units (SI). If other units are mentioned, please give their equivalent in SI.
All biotica (crops, plants, insects, etc.) should be identified by their scientific names. Use italics for Latin names, do not underline. Use common names for crops. Common names for weeds may be indicated in parenthesis before the first mention of the Latin binomial.
For pesticides, common name(s) of active ingredient(s) should be used, not the trade names.
Application of pesticides must be given with full details of techniques used to apply (e.g. type of equipment, type of nozzle, pressure, volume of spray, timing etc.) and of the amount of active ingredient applied per unit area.

Math Formulae

Present simple formulae in the line of normal text where possible. In principle, variables are to be presented in italics. Subscripts and superscripts should be clear. Give the meaning of all symbols immediately after the equation in which they are first used.
Levels of statistical significance which can be mentioned without further explanation are: *P <0.05, **P <0.01 and ***P <0.001Draft Abstracts

Amendments

The online submission system allows you to make changes to your draft, but only before the submission! Once you have submitted your abstract, if you need to make any additions or amendments, please contact us via email (info@iacio2024.org).

Method of Submission

You must upload the abstract to the system using the model provided in the system.

Upon receipt of your submission, the system will automatically issue an email confirmation to the contact person. If you do not receive it within 1 hour (kindly check the spam folder as well), please contact us via email (info@iacio2024.org)

Submission Checklist
Carefully review each item listed below before submitting your article. Article submissions that do not follow the guidelines below will be returned to draft or immediately rejected.

Manuscript should be prepared in a double column, single-spaced format using a required IACIO2024 Bangkok Access template. A Word and a PDF file are required upon submission. Content on each file must match exactly. File sizes should not exceed 40MB. Download IACIO2024 Bangkok Access Templates for Microsoft Word.
The use of artificial intelligence (AI)–generated text in an article shall be disclosed in the acknowledgements section of any paper submitted to an IACIO2024 Bangkok Conference or Periodical. The sections of the paper that use AI-generated text shall have a citation to the AI system used to generate the text. For more information below.
Guidelines for Artificial Intelligence (AI)-Generated Text
The use of content generated by artificial intelligence (AI) in an article (including but not limited to text, figures, images, and code) shall be disclosed in the acknowledgments section of any article submitted to an IACIO2024 Bangkok publication. The AI system used shall be identified, and specific sections of the article that use AI-generated content shall be identified and accompanied by a brief explanation regarding the level at which the AI system was used to generate the content.
The use of AI systems for editing and grammar enhancement is common practice and, as such, is generally outside the intent of the above policy. In this case, disclosure as noted above is recommended.
Author lists should be carefully considered before submission. For more information on what constitutes an author, please click here. Contributors who do not meet IACIO2024 Bangkok’s definition of authorship should be included in the Acknowledgment section of the article. Omitting an author who contributed to your article or including a person who did not fulfill authorship requirements is considered a breach of publishing ethics. Once the list and order of authors has been established, the list and order of authors should not be altered without permission of all living authors of that article, and the decision to allow such changes rests with the Editor.
Corresponding authors are required to have an ORCID ID associated with their account. For more information on ORCID, click here.
Short biographies are required for ALL authors on an article submission. As indicated in the required IACIO2024 Bangkok Access templates, biographies of all authors should be included directly within the article below the references section.
All authors should be listed on both the source file (Word file) and the manuscript PDF file. When submitting your files ensure the submission system successfully extracts the full author list from your files.
The article should be thoroughly reviewed for proper grammar before being submitted. Articles with poor grammar will be immediately rejected. If needed, IACIO2024 Bangkok Access offers Paperpal Preflight to assist authors in checking their manuscript for grammar issues prior to submission.
All research works should be carefully referenced..
The article should not be submitted elsewhere at the same time.
Supplementary material for review (if any)
Manuscript keywords (minimum of 3 and maximum of 10). Please carefully select the keywords as this is how we select a relevant Associate Editor to manage the peer review of your article.
You will be required to select a manuscript type upon submission. A list and description of manuscript types are listed below. If you are unsure, please leave it as “Research Article”. *Please note that should your article be accepted, the manuscript type will be published on the article.
Opposed reviewers (if any)

If the article was previously rejected after peer review with encouragement to update and resubmit, then a complete “list of updates” must be included in a separate document. The list of updates should have the following regarding each comment:
1) reviewers’ concerns
2) authors’ response to the concerns
3) actual changes implemented
IACIO2024 Bangkok Access does not have a page limit; however, we strongly recommend keeping the page count under 50 pages for ease of readability. Longer articles may result in longer peer review times. Additional content can be added as supplementary material.
